We invite Ukrainian veterans and members of their families to join this Architecting on AWS specialized course. The course is dedicated to participants with experience in solution architecture, solution-design engineering, or software development, seeking an understanding of AWS architecting sphere.
This free course is available from anywhere across the globe. During the 8 weeks of studying, participants will be attending virtual instructor-led trainings (vILT). At least 80% of online classes need to be attended in real-time to complete the course. The detailed schedule is available below.
This course will also help you prepare for the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate exam. Participants who have completed individual training modules and final testing will receive free vouchers for the AWS Certification exam, to help validate their skills.
Please mind that the number of participants is limited.
What is required for training:
- Be a certified AWS Cloud Practitioner;
- Possess knowledge of distributed systems, general networking concepts and IP addressing (take the module "Networking" in the DevOps Self-Paced Program to refresh knowledge), multi-tier architecture;
- Familiarize yourself with basics of CloudFormation service and Well-Architected-Framework. Feel free to explore detailed documents explaining WAF pillars;
- Possess minimum of B1+ English level. If you don’t speak English, check out the additional language learning options after you register on IT Skills 4U program;
Note! This Architecting on AWS training is held in Ukrainian, however, the AWS Certification exam (overviewed exam) will be held in English only.
How to get started?
- Click the "Register" button on this page, create your profile, fill in all the required information.
- Upload your AWS Cloud Practitioner certificate to the profile.
- Pass the English test. English test will become available in your profile after the registration. Please complete it before moving forward.
- Pass the Technical Test. The test will be available for passing at training.epam.ua after the registration, or at examinator.epam.com. Please complete it before moving forward.
- Join a short video call to confirm your Ukrainian citizenship and your English level. Instructions will be sent to your email after you successfully finish the previous steps.
- Receive an invitation to join the course in case of successful completion of all the selection stages.
What will you learn?
Schedule and duration: 8 weeks
- 2-4, 6-9 November — virtual instructor-led training, 17:00-21:00 (total 28 hours)
- 11 November — vILT, exam preparation workshop, 11:00-18:00 (total 7 hours)
- from November — Q&A sessions, 2 times per week in evening time (total 12 hours).
During the course you will:
- identify AWS architecting basic practices
- identify services and features to build resilient, secure, and highly available IT solutions in the AWS Cloud
- learn the process of designing optimal IT solutions using the AWS Well-Architected Framework, based on real-life scenarios
- explore AWS services for account security, networking, compute, storage, databases, monitoring, automation, containers, serverless architecture, edge services, and backup and recovery
What is IT Skills 4U program?
IT Skills 4U is a joint training program for Ukrainian citizens organized by Amazon Web Services (AWS) and the Union of Entrepreneurs and Employers (ZPP). EPAM, an AWS-authorized training partner, offers virtual classes with certified instructors.
The IT Skills 4U program is open to all Ukrainians interested in switching to IT or advancing their IT career by learning Amazon Web Services Cloud skills. The studying is hosted on a specially created web platform, where learners will get online self-paced courses; access to instructor-led training delivered by accredited AWS Training Partners; vouchers the AWS Certification exams; English-language classes; soft skills development sessions; other support to help launch and advance one's career in tech.
All resources will be tailored to one's level of IT experience; both beginners and experienced IT specialists looking for new opportunities will find suitable materials at this course. After a short self-assessment of skills, learners will receive personalized study plans with recommended training courses that they can complete at their own pace.
