We invite citizens of Ukraine to attend the AWS Cloud Practitioner Essentials course. It is dedicated to individuals who seek a general understanding of the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud, regardless of specific technical roles. You will learn about the AWS Cloud concepts, AWS services, security, architecture, pricing, and support to build your AWS Cloud knowledge. This course will also help you prepare for the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner exam.


PROGRAM DETAILS:

  • Audience: Ukrainians from 18 years old from anywhere across the globe, who have access to the Internet, time, and desire to master the AWS Cloud direction, and are interested in finding a job in the Cloud industry (number of participants is limited).
  • Cost: free at all stages.
  • Format: virtual instructor-led training (vILT). You must be able to attend a minimum of 80% of classes in real-time.
  • Schedule and duration: find the schedule of the programs in the description at the end of this page (updated regularly).
  • Language: lectures and consultations in Ukrainian, educational materials in English.
  • Start of vILT: participants get access to courses after passing the selection. If you don't pass the selection for the main program, you can register for the introductory self-paced courses (see details below).

Participants who have completed individual training modules and testing will receive free vouchers for the AWS Certification exam, to help validate their skills.

What is IT Skills 4U program?

IT Skills 4U is a joint training program for Ukrainian citizens organized by Amazon Web Services (AWS) and the Union of Entrepreneurs and Employers (ZPP). EPAM, an AWS-authorized training partner, offers virtual classes with certified instructors.


The IT Skills 4U program is open to all Ukrainians interested in switching to IT or advancing their IT career by learning Amazon Web Services Cloud skills. The studying is hosted on a specially created web platform, where learners will get online self-paced courses; access to instructor-led training delivered by accredited AWS Training Partners; vouchers the AWS Certification exams; English-language classes; soft skills development sessions; other support to help launch and advance one's career in tech.


All resources will be tailored to one's level of IT experience; both beginners and experienced IT specialists looking for new opportunities will find suitable materials at this course. After a short self-assessment of skills, learners will receive personalized study plans with recommended training courses that they can complete at their own pace.

What is required for training:

To join the AWS Cloud Practitioner Essentials virtual instructor-led training, you have to comply with the following requirements:

  1. General IT technical knowledge. If you don't have general IT technical background, we recommend you starting with the first module "IT Fundamentals - Basics of Computer Science" in the IT FUNDAMENTALS SELF-PACED ONLINE PROGRAM 2022. *If not applicable, proceed further. 
  2. Basic knowledge of AWS Cloud. Complete the AWS Cloud Practitioner course in English on your own to prepare for the testing. As an alternative, you can complete Introduction to Cloud 101 with free labs. *Requires registration on AWS Educate.
  3. Minimum of A2+ English level, desire to participate in technical trainings, and afterwards be ready for job interviews in English. If you don’t speak English, you can register for online self-paced courses in Ukrainian at AWS Educate. Also please find additional options for directions' study after registration on IT Skills 4U program.

Note! This AWS Cloud Practitioner training is held in Ukrainian, however, the AWS Certification exam (online test proctoring) will be held in English only.

Who should take this course?

This is a good starting point for individuals of non-technical positions with no prior IT or Cloud experience, or for individuals with on-premises IT experience looking for AWS Cloud fluency: e.g. Sales, Legal, Marketing, Business analysts, Project managers, AWS Academy students, other IT-related professionals.

How to get started?
  1. Click the "Register" button on this page, create your profile and fill in all the required information. The confirmation email will be sent to you afterwards.
  2. Pass the English test. English test will be available for passing in your profile at training.epam.ua after the registration. You have to pass the test BEFORE MOVING ONTO THE NEXT STEP.
  3. Pass the Technical Test. The test will be available for passing at the landing page or training.epam.ua after the registration, or at examinator.epam.com. You have to pass the test BEFORE MOVING ONTO THE NEXT STEP.
  4. Join a short video call to confirm your Ukrainian citizenship and your English level. Instructions will be sent to your email after you successfully finish the previous steps.
  5. Receive an invitation to join the Instructor-led training (in case of successful completion of all the selection stages). The invitation for vILT will be sent to your email.
What will you learn?

You will learn to:

  • describe the basic global infrastructure of the AWS Cloud and its benefits;
  • describe and provide examples of the core AWS services, including compute, network, databases, and storage;
  • describe the AWS Well-Architected Framework, the shared responsibility model, the core security services within the AWS Cloud, and the basics of AWS Cloud migration;
  • articulate the financial benefits of the AWS Cloud for an organization’s cost management, define the core billing, account management, and pricing models, and explain how to use pricing tools to make cost-effective choices for AWS services.
